Planting Seeds to Meet Your Needs

Hydromulch, what is it?

We suspect that if you've found us then you may have some notion of, or are curious to know what hydromulch and its components consist of.  Having said that, we still intend to give you our best abridged definition of what makes up the hydromulch process.

  • HydromulchHydromulching, in simplest terms, is a grass planting process.  The root word "hydro" meaning fluid or in our case water is the significant factor in the process.  There are countless ways to apply seed to soil but with hydromulch the delivery process is water.  Step two in the process is "mulch".  The mulch comes in many variations to suit different conditions and environments where you might want grass and vegetation to grow.  The mulch provides stabilization for seed and soil as well as provides a microenvironment for the new vegetation to grow. Step three is adding the actual seed as well as fertilizer, and other contributing components that will help establish the vegetation you desire.  All of these elements are combined into a mixture or "slurry" and applied or sprayed through mechanical means via a hydromulch machine

There you have it.  On paper its a relatively simple process. However, much of the work involved is determining which elements to put into this "slurry" to best fit your particular application.

Hydromulching is not as Black and White is may seem.  A comparison might be you calling a contractor to build your new home or office, on a hillside.  Typically the building contractor wouldn't just show up with any hammer, any saw, or any old box of nails with a standard set of plans.  If so, your new structure might not stay on that hillside too long.  Just as in the building contractors profession, communication is key to providing what our clients need and expect for all to be satisfied.
Again, we ask that you contact us to discuss what you need.
